'In this video, Jesse Dietrick, CSCS, Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, shares 10 different exercises to work on mobility/flexibility following a game or practice. Post game or practice recovery is important for all athletes; however, this is an often overlooked area. The demands that hockey stresses on an athletes body requires for an athlete to not only train smart, but take it a step further and recover smart. One specific area of importance is flexibility and mobility. In this video, Jesse takes you through 10 flexibility movements that will benefit all athletes but focuses on some areas of concern that the sport of hockey demands on an athlete. Each of these stretches should be performed with movement, hence 3-D, hitting all planes of motion. This whole routine should take between 10-15 minutes. Perform this exercise within a structured strength and conditioning program to maximize benefits.
