'The 40th International Kolkata Book Fair started in full spirit at the Melan Mela Prangan adjacent to Science City, Kolkata. Notably, each year the event gets organized by the Publishers & Booksellers Guild and this year is no exception to the rule. This year the focal theme of the event is the country, Bolivia. The inauguration ceremony took place on 25th of January, 2016. It would continue until 7th of January, 2016. The timing of the fair is from 12 noon to 8 pm everyday. The entire canopy of the book fair is divided into several blocks under which various types of colorful pavilions, food courts and small and medium sized stores exist. To name a few of those blocks are the White Block, Blue Block, Yellow Block, Green Block, Pink Block, etc. This video highlights the different types of pavilions, stalls and the Melan Mela Complex. Besides, it also includes snippets of ongoing live events going on for the entertainment of the visitors.
