Just beside the Nakhoda Masjid is one of the famous food destinations in the city named Zakaria Street. During Ramzan this place comes alive with various foods prepared for Iftar. On other days too it\'s a heaven for biryani, kebabs, haleem, halwa etc. Nakhoda Mosque : The Nakhoda Musjid is the principal mosque of Kolkata, India, in the Chitpur area of the Burrabazar business district in Central Kolkata, at the intersection of Zakaria Street and Rabindra Sarani.The mosque was built as an imitation of the mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar at Sikandra, Agra by Kutchi Memon Jamat, a small community of Sunni Muslim community from Kutch. Abdur Rahim Osman, a leader of the Kutchi Memon Jama\'at, who funded the building was a shipping prince: The mosque was named Nakhoda meaning Mariner. The foundation stone was laid on 11 September 1926. The total cost incurred for the construction was 1,500,000 Indian rupees in 1926. Dilli 6 Dilli 6, an eatery specialising in delicacies from Old Delhi. We tried their famous afghani chicken. This creamy buttery grilled chicken based dish was pure love. The quarter portion(4 piece) costs 170 rupees. My recommendation would be Rumali roti alongside this. Taskeen. This old eatery shop is famous for it\'s deep fried items. We tried Murg changezi here which is different from delhi style gravy changezi. It is basically double fried chicken with masala on the top. It costs 160 rupees for a quarter portion(8 pieces approximately). In my opinion the taste was average. Al Baik. Al baik\'s most famous item is Pyare kebab. A minced chicken based dish which melts in your mouth. 30 rupees for one seekh was absolute bergain.
