'The U.S. Embassy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean and its U.S. Marine Security Guard Force facilitated a modified Combat Fitness Test at the Club House, on Dover Field, Christ Church for the Barbados Defense Force Youth Athletes on Thursday, August 16th. The Barbados Defense Force Youth Athletes got the opportunity to experience the rigorous training required of U.S. Marines. This exciting fitness test featured a Maneuver under Fire Obstacle Course that sent the athletes sprinting, running, crawling, and dragging their buddies across the field. This event is part of a month of sports diplomacy activities held by the Embassy which included a panel discussion on American Sports Scholarships for Caribbean athletes and extensive social media focus on the 2012 Summer Olympics.'
