While everyone is celebrating Dahi Handi on the joyous occasion of Janmashtami, Folk Fitness is celebrating it with a special workout routine on the folk dance of Raas Lila – a popular folk dance in the regions of Mathura, Vrindavana in Uttar Pradesh, performed especially during Krishna Janmashtami and Holi.  The bending movements in this folk dance works on one’s abdominal core muscles and also strengthens the back muscles. The hand swinging actions of this folk dance also works on one’s shoulders and scapular muscles.'
