'* If you would like your product to be reviewed, please contact me at [email protected] * Willful \'VeryFit for Heart Rate\' health tracker Available from: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N1ZDPXC and https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CVLP0SM Having used a few fitness monitors, I was especially impressed with this one due to its smart design and many features. It is easy to fit, comfortable to wear and being IPX7 rated, it can be worn in the shower and will withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Setting up involves little more than downloading the ‘Veryfit for heart rate’ (not VeryFit 2) app from the Google Play store then pairing the smartphone with the fitness tracker via Bluetooth which takes just a few seconds. The user can then enter gender, date of birth, height and weight then it is ready for use and upon pairing with my phone (Blackview BV6000), the date and time were automatically set. Features include: Watch with date and time Pedometer counting steps, measuring distance and calories burned Automatic sleep monitor (no need to set your own sleep times) Multiple alarms Sports timer/stopwatch Call/message alert Remote camera shooting Sedentary alert Instruction leaflet included - user-friendly and helpful The tracker acts as a pedometer by counting steps with about 98% accuracy when walking steadily although when scrambling over rough surfaces or on steps, these are not always recorded. Interestingly, it also records steps taken during periods of sleep (could be interesting for a sleepwalker..) and even records nocturnal trips to the loo - it misses nothing! The heart rate monitor is very accurate and matched readings taken with my Omron blood pressure monitor. It works by measuring the pulse in the wrist every minute and can produce a day-by-day recording showing peaks along with resting pulse. The sleep mode also seems very good and accurate. It automatically detects sleep with no need to preset ‘sleep times’ in the set-up mode (unlike some other ‘fit-bands’ where sleep is pre-planned rather than spontaneous)and distinguishes between light sleep and deep sleep. Since wearing the band, I\'ve developed a habit of looking at the clock whenever I wake and when I get up and the times match those recorded I particularly like the charging method for this fitness monitor: it is simply removed from the band by pushing it through and then plugged into a USB port for charging so there is no need to use any charging bases, clips or cradles which makes it brilliant for use when travelling away from home. After an hour, it was fully-charged and ready to use this full charge lasting about a week. Downloading data to my phone is as easy as opening the app: immediately the app is opened then Bluetooth is automatically opened and the data is downloaded with no need to do this manually, as shown on my demo video. The monitor will store data for 7 days so synchronising can be as little as weekly - and conveniently the battery also lasts for a week. Strengths - slim design, comfortable to wear with secure strap - bright, easy to read, LED display which can be either landscape or portrait - very easy to use - instant connection via Bluetooth to my phone (Blackview BV6000 running Android 6) - feature-rich - very impressive sleep monitoring mode - IPx7 waterproof so can be worn in the shower Weaknesses - step counter is not quite as accurate as my pedometer I am not a \'fitness freak\' but just enjoying monitoring how many steps I take daily, how well (or otherwise) I sleep but use the heart rate monitor frequently because I am quite a keen leisure cyclist who enjoys cycle-touring rather than racing, and I like to see how my body copes with the hills. I am also finding that the fitness monitor is motivating me to increase my exercise just to see if I can beat the previous days\' step number or reach my target of 10000 steps. I rarely do, but I am enjoying trying. For anyone considering buying this, I would recommend it because it performs as hoped and lives up to all it promises, even when used with less well-known photo. If you\'re into exercise and fitness then this is a good tool for monitoring your progress and if you\'re like me and enjoy exercise more casually, then it is quite a good motivation tool while also performing other functions and providing a wide range of notifications. It\'s definitely a good buy and excellent value for money.'
