I share how to be HAPPY, HEALTHY and FIT through un-processing your diet, training functionally and using your own body weight with limited time and busy schedules. Join me weekly here as I share workouts, tips, nutrition help, recipes, and more! Video By: Schaffer Visuals http://schaffervisuals.com | [email protected] Advantages of Bodyweight Training vs. Lifting Weights Time Efficient – You can get a full body workout in a short amount of time training with just your own bodyweight. Effective – When you train with your own bodyweight, you’re training functionally, which means working on multiple areas of your body as opposed to one specific muscle. For example, if you’re using the “chest fly” machine at the gym, you’re working just your chest. If you perform a push up, you are working your chest, shoulders, arms AND core. Another example, if you’re doing a tricep extension, you’re working JUST your triceps. If you perform a Tricep dip or a Tricep push up shimmie, you are working your triceps, core and even abs. Simply put, you are training functionally! You can’t Cheat the System – Challenge yourself to master the next thing. Take a plank for instance. Maybe you have to start out on your knees and you can literally only hold the position for 5 seconds. How do you get Stronger? How do you Progress? You just try and go a little longer the next time and the next time… Eliminates Excuses – My Motto: “Excuses or Solutions, You Decide!” That’s it… you don’t get the excuse of having no time, not having a gym membership, not having equipment, etc.'
