'A new electromedical tool allows objective assessment of the cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness before surgery and thus increases individual patient safety. It works non-invasively, reproducibly and takes only a few minutes. Jointly developed by TU Wien and Medical University of Vienna it provides anaesthesiologist with an easy to interpret fitness score for improved anaesthesia and intensive care planning.
