'A new electromedical tool allows objective assessment of the cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness before surgery and thus increases individual patient safety. It works non-invasively, reproducibly and takes only a few minutes. Jointly developed by TU Wien and Medical University of Vienna it provides anaesthesiologist with an easy to interpret fitness score for improved anaesthesia and intensive care planning. Additional areas of application are preventive assessments and regular checkups.'
